Paper second place winner of Mark A. Smith Award in Neurochemistry

Artikeln “Validated multi-step approach for in vivo recording and analysis of optogenetically-evoked glutamate in the mouse globus pallidus” har blivit utsedd till andrapristagare av Mark A. Smith Award för 2018. Priset ges av ISN (International Society for Neurochemistry), den största vetenskapliga sammanslutningen inom neurokemi och är ett väldigt prestigefullt pris inom det fältet. 

The paper "Validated multi-step approach for in vivo recording and analysis of optogenetically-evoked glutamate in the mouse globus pallidus"  it the second place winner of the Mark A. Smith award in Neurochemistry. The award is given by the International Society for Neurochemistry and is a very prestigeous award in the field. 

First author is Thomas Viereckel who did his PhD at the Research Programme for Comparative Physiology at the Department of Organismal Biology. The work was also carried out there and the paper was part of Thomas' PhD-thesis.
