Pavel Beznosov, MSc
Pavel Beznosov is a vertebrate palaeontologist who specialises in the Late Devonian vertebrate communities of Timan in northwestern Russia. Besides the palaeobiology of vertebrates, he also works on the sedimentology, stratigraphy, palaeogeography, taphonomy, and geoconservation of these unique palaeoenvironments. Timan preserves Devonian landscapes spanning lake, river delta, and coastal deposits as well as lagoonal and shallow marine archives, several of which likely involved early tetrapod habitats.
Pavel Beznosov is Research Associate at the Laboratory of Palaeontology of the Institute of Geology with the FRC Komi Science Centre as part of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Syktyvkar, Russia.
